Destinations: Hanoi – Lao Cai – Sapa – Y Ty – Sapa – Hanoi.

Day 1: Lao Cai – Bat Xat – Trek Y Ty (B, L, D, G)
The night before, at 21.00, a car will arrive to take you to Hanoi railway station in time to board the 22.00 overnight sleeper to Lao Cai You’ll share an AC soft sleeper cabin.
You’ll arrive in the early morning, where you’ll be met and taken up into the mountains by car to Sapa, a small town perched on the mountainside opposite Mt. Fan Si Pan, Vietnam’s highest peak.
When you arrive in Sapa, you will have time for a short rest, a hot shower, and some breakfast before heading to Y Ty.
You’ll take a spectacular drive for about 2 hours, then do a short walk of about 3 km to visit the village of the Blue Hmong people and have a picnic lunch.
Your afternoon is filled with another short drive through the beautiful rice terraces, followed by an easy trek of about 4 km to visit the Ha Nhi people and learn more about their life and house architecture.
You’ll have dinner and spend the night in a Hmong ethnic minority group stilt-house.

Day 2: Y Ty – Sapa (B, L, D, G)
After breakfast at the homestay, we leave around 8:00 AM and drive through many beautiful but hidden parts of Lao Cai. We stop en route for some walks through the old forest and visit a herbal tree plantation, and also visit the Black Hmong before having our picnic lunch.
Afterward, you’ll drive through more villages of Lao Cai, pass by a waterfall, and then head back to Sapa town for the night.

Day 3: Sapa – Hanoi (B, L, G)
After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll enjoy the morning with some of your new friends whom you may have met the afternoon before. You’ll have the entire day for free time and visiting the lively markets. Some suggestions include a visit to the orchid gardens of Dragon Mountain or a cultural trek to the village.
Your time will be your own until you’re picked up by car to return to to Sapa then to Lao Cai for the 21:30 overnight sleeper train back to Hanoi.
